(Gray News) - CBS has announced that Tony Romo has been placed on indefinite leave after he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.According to ESPN reporter Adam Schefter, CBS said Friday Romo is on leave “until further notice.” It is also reported that JJ Watts will replace Romo as the lead color commentator for the network’s NFL coverage.Romo has been an NFL analyst for CBS since 2017.According to a citation released by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, Romo was stopped on Interstate 43 on July 23 after he was seen passing cars in a gore area, the space that separates interstate traffic from cars entering from an on-ramp.An “open bottle of an alcoholic beverage” was also found in the passenger seat of his car.Romo performed poorly on the field sobriety tests and was taken into custody.
