Original Sand Dollar marks decades on Anna Maria Island

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - The Original Sand Dollar has operated in Holmes Beach since 1960, according to owner Julia Duytschaver and store manager Kate Fuchs.The store has changed ownership over the years and has been through multiple hurricanes, Duytschaver said.The shop sells home decor, gifts, boutique clothing and home accessories.The Original Sand Dollar is located at 5302 Marina Dr., Holmes Beach, FL 34217.The store also offers a workshop area where customers can create their own sand dollar or starfish souvenir.The Original Sand Dollar can be found on Facebook as Original Sand Dollar and on Instagram @original_sanddollar.
