WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW/Gray News) — The Wausau, Wisconsin, community is showing support after a donation box for a 4-year-old with cerebral palsy was stolen. The former owner of Townline Market has raised money for his grandson for years.“Someone saw the opportunity to go take a little extra cash for themselves, not caring that it’s for a sick little guy,” said David Jagler, the former owner of Townline Market.A temporary jar is now at the counter, where donations have been coming in quickly. Jagler also raises money for Cashton Krause with golf ball and chocolate bar sales.Cashton often travels out of state and out of the country for cerebral palsy treatments. They’re expensive and usually aren’t covered by insurance.“We keep striving to give him every opportunity that we possibly can,” said Jennifer Imhoff, Cashton’s mother.The family is also living in a rental home that isn’t accessible to people with disabilities.
